On considère en général que dans un énoncé toute l’information véhiculée n’est pas mise sur le même plan : il y a l’explicite et l’implicite, mais aussi ce qui est mis en avant et ce qui reste en arrière-plan, ce qui est pris en charge par le locuteur et ce qui est attribué à autrui. Le but de ce livre est de s’interroger sur la nature des informations attachées à un énoncé, sur leur variété, leur caractérisation et d’étudier leur interaction en contexte et avec le contexte.

It is generally considered that not all the information conveyed in an utterance is placed on the same level: there is the explicit and the implicit, but also what is brought to the fore and what remains in the background, what is assumed by the speaker and what is attributed to others. The aim of this book is to examine the nature of the information attached to an utterance, its variety and characterization, and to study its interaction in context and with context.
